Child Welfare Council, Punjab is running two creche centres at Bal Bhawan, Mohali & Central Jail, Gurdaspur. The creche centre of Bal Bhawan, Mohali is being run for the children of working mothers. In the creche centre, early childhood care is provided to the children. Children attending crèche centre are provided supplementary nutrition, health care facility and pre-school education through playway & participatory method. The creche centre at Central Jail, Gurdaspur is running for the children of Women Inmates of the Jail. The purpose of starting this creche centre in Jail is to provide package of services to the children of inmates who remained unattended and neglected for most of the time.
